The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have confirmed the arrest of a 26-year old suspect identified as Moliniter Adhiambo in connection with trafficking drugs valued at KES 15 million in the street market.

According to the DCI, the seizure took place on Tuesday at a residence within Buembu village, Migori County. Adhiambo is currently in police custody pending further investigation.

The DCI explained that the arrest was made during a coordinated operation led by a joint team of its detectives and K9 units from the Isebania Border Post.

During the operation, conducted with precision, a total of 9 sacks containing Cannabis sativa sticks and 8 sacks of unrefined Bhang were discovered concealed at various locations within the compound. Assistance from a sniffer dog proved instrumental in locating these hidden caches.

“The woman, along with the illicit drugs valued at over Sh15 million on the street market, was left behind. Efforts to locate Osege and the fleeing suspect are ongoing as authorities intensify their search.”
