Citizen TV founder Samwel Kamau Macharia alias SK Macharia has been inaugurated as a member of the Murang’a County Budget and Council Forum.
The swearing-in took place during a ceremony attended by Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata on Thursday, which was broadcast live on the Kilimani-based TV station.
In his newly assumed position, Macharia, along with fellow members, will provide counsel to the Governor on matters pertaining to county budgeting and economic development.
Addressing the gathering, Kang’ata disclosed that the appointed individuals will contribute to enhancing the county’s appeal to investors, thereby fostering job opportunities for the youth.
Other members include former Equity Chairman Peter Munga, Businessman Jimnah Mbaru, Professor Olive Mugenda, and Ambassador Mary Muthoni.
