A fundraiser to cover the late Catherine Kasavuli’s hospital bills will be conducted at the United Kenya Club On Saturday, December 7, 2023.
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi will be the Chief Guest at the event, according to a program made public by the family.
Martin Kasavuli, Kasavuli’s son, recently requested assistance to cover a hospital bill that is expected to cost four million Shillings that accrued while she was receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

According to the schedule, a memorial service for the late TV icon will be held on January 12, 2023, at the Friends International Church on Ngong Road, with the final service being held on January 14, at her rural home at Tigoi Primary School.
Kasavuli had been battling cervical cancer and was receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH)since October 26, 2022, until her demise on Thursday night, December 29, 2022.

The KNH blood donation unit had requested the public to donate blood for Kasavuli via a blood request form last month. Kasavuli’s family had also asked Kenyans for financial assistance to help her offset her bill at KNH.
Her demise was confirmed by Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation (KBC) Managing Director Samuel Maina. She was recalled by various journalists, as a mentor who held the hands of many media professionals throughout their careers.
The Veteran Journalist died aged 60.
