Moi International Airport Anti-narcotics officers in Mombasa have reported the arrest a 24-year-old student enrolled at the Technical University of Mombasa after he was found in possession of 300 grams of heroin from the residence.

” The detectives were acting on an intelligence report, which also led to the arrest of the student at his Mshomoroni house, Kisauni sub-county,” the officers said.

According to the anti-narcotic officers, the illicit substance, discovered wrapped in a transparent polythene bag, displayed brownish/whitish characteristics and, upon on-site testing, confirmed positive for heroin.

The drug is estimated to be worth street value of KES 1.2 million. The confiscated drug is now secured as evidence, awaiting further analysis at the government chemist.
