Visa, Pesaflow collaborate to enhance digital government services

Visa has announced a strategic partnership with Pesaflow to enhance digital payment services for customers in Kenya, aiming to propel digital payments within the Kenyan government.

The collaboration seeks to bolster efficiency, transparency, and inclusivity in public services, contributing to regional financial inclusion initiatives.

Pesaflow, a subdivision of Webmasters Kenya, operates as an extension of the eCitizen online citizen portal, providing a comprehensive and secure suite of solutions to the Kenyan populace.

The platform facilitates a single citizen profile and grants easy access to over 5,000 solutions from various Ministries, Counties, Departments, and Agencies within the Kenyan government.

The collaboration with Pesaflow aligns with Visa’s commitment to supporting fintech growth through innovative partnerships, with the goal of revolutionizing how the public sector delivers government services.

According to Eva Ngigi-Sarwari, Country Manager of Visa Kenya, the partnership is anticipated to transform the landscape of government services.

As part of the collaboration, Pesaflow plans to optimize its services by leveraging Visa’s network and security infrastructure. The focus will be on providing streamlined solutions to the public sector and citizens utilizing government products.

Additionally, the partnership aims to develop user-friendly digital payment systems, including digital and virtual cards, as well as secure gateway services.

The Visa Government Solutions team is expected to work closely with Pesaflow to digitize government tools and integrate Visa products.

Emphasizing diverse payment options, the collaboration aims to simplify tax collection processes for the government, ultimately enhancing businesses’ financial management, cost savings, and public services development.
