M-PESA services, which encountered delays starting at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, have now been successfully restored.

In a statement released to news outlets on Tuesday afternoon, Safaricom confirmed, “All M-PESA services are currently operational. We extend our apologies for any inconveniences caused and appreciate your patience during the service restoration process.”

The service outage was experienced on Safaricom’s M-PESA App and on the Sim Toolkit. Upon attempting a transaction via M-Pesa, a notification appeared, stating, “The parameters of data sources are null.” The identical error occurred when attempting transactions through the M-Pesa mobile application.

“M-PESA is undergoing scheduled maintenance,” the pop-up indicated.

In a statement earlier, Safaricom announced its efforts to resolve a technological glitch responsible for delays in customer transactions, including sending, receiving, and making payments through the M-Pesa service.
