Flexible workspace provider IWG, known for its brands Spaces and Regus, has officially entered the Kenyan market by selecting the recently inaugurated Global Trade Centre (GTC) in Westlands, Nairobi.

This strategic move is the result of a partnership with Lanor International Limited CEO Ronal Samani, affirming IWG’s commitment to establishing a strong presence in Nairobi.

The GTC, positioned as a pivotal business hub, aligns seamlessly with IWG’s expansion strategy, according to Marc Descrozaille, IWG’s Regional CEO for Middle-East & Africa.

In an era of explosive market growth in the hybrid working trend, experts project that by 2030, 30 percent of all commercial real estate will be dedicated to flexible workspaces. Marc Descrozaille emphasizes the increasing demand for high-quality flexible workspaces as hybrid working becomes the new norm.

The office space at GTC, spanning 1,761 square meters on the 14th floor, will offer co-working areas, private offices, state-of-the-art meeting facilities, and creative spaces.

Heidi Duvenage, IWG Head of Southern & East Africa, highlighted the positive impacts of flexible working on employee satisfaction and environmental responsibility, underscoring IWG’s proven ability to enhance productivity while providing significant cost savings for businesses.

With this move, Kenya becomes the third African nation to embrace the SPACES brand, joining South Africa and Morocco.

SPACES is IWG’s fastest-growing global brand, known for its vibrant and dynamic workspace environment.

Shamim Malowa, GTC Head of Marketing PR & Communications, expressed excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome SPACES as the only tenants within GTC that offer flexible and serviced offices. Their product provides solutions to organizations seeking a premium workspace with state-of-the-art amenities, cutting-edge technology, and a prime location at a fraction of the costs, allowing the incubation of Fortune 500 companies to open operations effortlessly in Nairobi.”
